I recently made a huge mistake. I get crazy when people spell “Fourthcity” “Fourth City.” I hate it. I even made an ad campaign that went “Fourthcity is all one. Word.” Or something to that effect. Anyway the other day I spelled Truckasauras with a U.. “TRUCKASAURUS.” It’s fucking sacrilegious. But because I spelled it with a U, now iTunes spells it with a U, Bleep spells it with a U, TurntableLab spells it with a U, Boomkat spells it with a U, yadaayahda. Anyway, if you want to cop the new TruckasaurAs album — “Their best yet” (Dave Segal, The Stranger) — go to ZIIBRA and support a local business and GET IT CHEAPER!!!!! —> DOWNLOAD TRUCKASAURASS NEW ALBUM 2012!!!!
Does anyone else ever have this? I know I should just be like jumping for joy about everything.. I have everything I always wanted. But my ambition is now starved. Where do I aim? Do I need to take up an extreme sport or to go hunting on safari? Change of location is always nice..

We’re about to do this thing. Bigger and badder than last year. I’ve learned a lot. Crown Social now has a life all its own. We are killing it right now with our social campaigns and badass creative.
Double speed attention deficit ads NOW!!!

You know what’s awesome? My agency is a year old. We’ve been killing it and having obscene amounts of fun in the process. Big things on the horizon so watch out, but in the meantime peep our new website: crown social dot com
Hey Frank 151, I need to get my login back!

I’m in Japan! Aside from Skype / Google Hangout sessions, some emails, and hacking together a social media launch plan for our biggest client yet, I’ve been able to enjoy relaxing and reminiscing about our first 6 months. It’s been STUPID AWESOME!! I was optimistic about Crown’s potential — obviously: I left a job I loved to do this — but we’ve been even more successful than I’d imagined. It took only 4 months to become profitable with a relatively stable revenue stream, and the team — here’s where I shout out Lisa Li, Saul Spady, and Shena Bannick — continues to impress. Stay tuned for more good things in 2012!
We had a party on Nov. 10th. David Nelson from Il Bistro created three specialty cocktails along with two punches, we had hard milkshakes and burgers courtesy of Dick’s Drive-Ins, and spiked coffee, tea and hot cocoa courtesy of Pot O’ Gold Coffee. Truckasauras and Danny Ames provided the music, and Gabe Jones, Steve Gramling, and Jessica Knollmeyer took photos.. Our Twitter hashtag, #crownswizzle, trended in Seattle at around 7:30pm.
It’s been a whirlwind at Crown Social. We’ve been buying last-minute plane tickets to California to pitch a big potential client. One of our new employees worked at Ogilvy PR for almost five years, and has been implementing processes that will alleviate the growing pains that come with a new business. We’ve also been fortunate to have an SMB consultant help us diversify and streamline our business development efforts.
I’m no longer concerned about whether there is enough demand in the marketplace, and I am strongly convinced that the quality of our strategic offering is world-class; I am now worried only about keeping our cash flow positive while we’re trying to grow.
But this weekend has been productive. Aside from polishing off some work for an existing client, we also finalized a big new business pitch and secured a little more than $50K in new friends-and-family investment. We just kicked off a new client last week and are in the process of making a couple of solid case studies from our previous work…
Oh, and we’re having an open house at our offices on Thurs., Nov. 10th. We’d love to have you if you can make it.
