So we took over the whole Gold Bar / CROWN building and launched a couple of new ventures aimed at building community in SLU.

The Library launched mid-year 2019 as a 501(c)3 non profit. We experimented with weekly office hours for a few months, but are still figuring out what we want to do with the concept.
——
We also decorated the office and began renting it out in the evening for select private parties and events, and that’s been going really well! Here are a few photos of the space, but you can check out Beyond Space website for more.

Happy new year. I didn’t post at all in 2017. We have had a really fantastic couple of years at Crown Social and I’ve spent the last 6 months or so hanging out at my new house in West Seattle trying to figure out what to do next. I’m investing in a couple of tech startups that I think are going to strike it big, doubling down on the agency with the help of a couple new partners, and am also looking to start a charity that helps figure out how to keep garbage out of the Caribbean… if you’ve been to Mexico, Belize or anywhere near there recently, you’ve seen first-hand how dirty the beaches are.
Anyway, what I wanted to tell you about is that I am opening a new bar in SLU this Tuesday. It’s called Gold Bar, and it’s basically a mashup of a cocktail bar & a dive bar (the best of both worlds), so the cocktails are amazing and handcrafted, but the vibe is like your own secret cozy hideout, plus we’re featuring Latin American food by the one and only Manu Alfau. Stop by and check it out if you’re in Amazon-land — it’s at 227 Ninth Avenue N., Seattle WA 98109.

Hey friends, welcome back! This blog was disabled for a while due to some comment spam related to our version of WordPress, so we skipped 1.5 years. Now that I’m taking a dev course at General Assembly I figured I’d check out what the fuck was happening, and it turned out to be relatively simple to fix. Anyway, I’m pretty stoked to be back. Business has been rad — we know exactly who we are as a company, and every day is enjoyable and stress free. I’m heading to Vegas tomorrow morning to support one of our biggest clients (EMC) at EMC World. Looking forward to the parties of course. Oh, and the learning. Haha. Silly of me to forget that there’s that, too.

It’s important to participate in community. That’s why this Seattle agency went to City Hall yesterday to tell youth about what it’s like to work in marketing and advertising. We’re also giving kids 15-18 a chance to actually experience agency life. Every three months we hold a pizza party at our office on Capitol Hill and talk with the next generation of influencers about what they like about social media, what technology they’re excited about, etc. it’s a great program that benefits everyone. To find out more or to apply, visit our Youth Advisory Board website.

The above image is one of many you can caption via one of our recent projects: go to the #runhappyis website or tweet at @brooksrunning using the hashtag #runhappyis.

Does anyone else ever have this? I know I should just be like jumping for joy about everything.. I have everything I always wanted. But my ambition is now starved. Where do I aim? Do I need to take up an extreme sport? Change of location is always nice..

We’re about to do this thing. Bigger and badder than last year. I’ve learned a lot. Crown Social now has a life all its own. We are killing it right now with our social campaigns and badass creative.
Double speed attention deficit ads NOW!!!

You know what’s awesome? My agency is a year old. We’ve been killing it and having obscene amounts of fun in the process. Big things on the horizon so watch out, but in the meantime peep our new website: crown social dot com

Hey Frank 151, I need to get my login back!

Truckasauras has brand recognition in Seattle right now. Their special blend of glitchy 8-bit electronica is making hipsters and hip hop heads go bananas. Crown is curating a few shows for the early adopters to say thanks.
